Family

Family were an English rock band formed in 1967 and active until 1973, led by singer Roger Chapman and guitarist Charlie Whitney. Their music mixed rock, progressive and psychedelic elements with touches of folk and jazz, characterized by Chapman's raw, vibrato-rich vocals, Whitney's angular guitar work and arrangements that often used horns and keyboards in unconventional ways. They were part of the late 1960s and early 1970s British rock scene and are noted for an eclectic approach and a distinctive vocal sound.
