Drexciya

Drexciya was an American electronic music duo active from 1989 to 2002, known for a stark, propulsive electro sound rooted in Detroit techno and electro traditions. Their work emphasized precise drum programming, deep basslines and cold, watery synth textures, often with minimal or no vocals, and was framed by a recurring Afrofuturist concept about an underwater Black city. The project maintained a secretive, pseudonymous presentation and has been influential on later electro and experimental electronic producers.
