Descendents

Descendents are an American punk rock band formed in 1978 in Manhattan Beach, California. They combined fast, aggressive punk energy with melodic hooks and personal, often humorous lyrics about everyday and adolescent concerns, and their sound helped shape the development of pop-punk and melodic hardcore. The band is closely associated with singer Milo Aukerman, whose nerdy persona and intermittent departures for a career in science became part of the band's identity. Their music is known for short, tightly written songs, driving guitar work, and singalong choruses.
