Dead Can Dance

Dead Can Dance is an Australian-born band formed in 1981 by Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry. Their music blends post-punk and gothic origins with neoclassical, medieval and world music influences, creating atmospheric, often sombre soundscapes built from modal melodies, orchestral and traditional instruments, and distinctive vocal contrasts between Gerrard and Perry.
