Dave Douglas

Dave Douglas is an American jazz trumpeter, composer, and bandleader known for an exploratory, genre-blending approach that draws on post-bop, free jazz, chamber music, and world music influences. He leads a variety of ensembles and often balances written compositions with improvisation, incorporating electronic textures and diverse rhythmic material. He also founded the independent label Greenleaf Music to release his recordings and collaborative projects.
