Converge

Converge is an American band formed in 1990 that blends hardcore punk, metalcore, and elements of noise and mathcore into an intense, abrasive sound defined by dissonant guitar work, rapid tempo shifts, complex rhythms, and raw, emotive vocals. Guitarist and producer Kurt Ballou's dense, textured production and vocalist Jacob Bannon's distinctive delivery and visual artwork have been consistent parts of the band's identity, and their approach has had a notable impact on underground heavy music scenes.
