Chapterhouse

Chapterhouse was an English band formed in 1987 and active until 1994, associated with the early 1990s shoegaze scene. Their sound combined layered, effects-heavy guitars and reverb-drenched melodic vocals to create swirling, textured arrangements that balanced noisy atmospheres with pop songcraft. Later recordings incorporated elements of electronic and dance production alongside their guitar-driven foundation, positioning them as a group that bridged dense guitar textures and more rhythmic, studio-based touches.
