Central Line

Central Line was a British funk and soul band active from 1978 to 1984. Their music combined funk and soul foundations with early 1980s dance and post-disco elements, featuring rhythmic grooves, prominent bass and synth textures, and a focus on danceable arrangements. They emerged during the Britfunk era and were part of a wave of UK artists bringing funk-influenced R&B into British clubs and radio in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
