Celtic Frost

Celtic Frost was a Swiss extreme metal band formed in 1984 and active until 2008. Emerging from the earlier group Hellhammer, the band was led by Tom G. Warrior and Martin Eric Ain and became known for a heavy, dark sound that blended elements of thrash, black metal, and doom with experimental and avant-garde touches. Their music featured dense riffs, stark atmosphere, and varied tempos, and the band is frequently mentioned for its influence on later strands of extreme metal.
