Catatonia

Catatonia was a Welsh alternative rock band formed in 1992 and active until 2001, fronted by singer Cerys Matthews. Their music combined guitar-driven indie rock with pop-oriented melodies, marked by Matthews' distinctive vocal delivery and often literate, emotionally direct lyrics. The group was associated with the 1990s British and Welsh music scene and contributed to wider visibility for contemporary Welsh bands during that period.
