Belly

Belly was an American alternative rock band formed in 1991 and active through 1996. Fronted by Tanya Donelly, their music blended melodic, guitar-driven alternative rock with elements of dream pop and folk, marked by chiming guitars and layered female vocals. The group was part of the early 1990s alternative scene and represented Donelly's move from her earlier projects into a band focused on concise, song-oriented arrangements.
