Above the Law

Above the Law was an American West Coast hip hop group active from 1988 to 2012. Their music combined street-oriented gangsta rap with funk-influenced, synth-heavy production often associated with early G-funk developments, and their recordings reflect a laid-back but hard-edged West Coast sound characteristic of the late 1980s and 1990s rap scene.
