A Place to Bury Strangers

A Place to Bury Strangers is an American noise rock band formed in 2002, led by guitarist and vocalist Oliver Ackermann. Their music combines shoegaze, post-punk, and noise rock elements, with heavily effected and distorted guitars, dense reverb and feedback, and a focus on loud, immersive textures. The band has been associated with intense live performances and with Ackermann's custom effects work through his Death By Audio pedals, while its lineup has changed over time as the group remained active in contemporary experimental rock circles.
