Sung Tongs

Sung Tongs (2004) is an Animal Collective album built around acoustic guitars and close, layered vocal interplay, marrying freak folk and psychedelic folk with experimental, neo-psychedelic textures. Many tracks use sparse, two-person arrangements, percussive clapping and subtle tape or studio manipulation to produce a raw, pastoral, and at times otherworldly atmosphere.
